What’s the big deal?

SkinPen is the first FDA cleared microneedle pen. In as few as 3 non-invasive treatments, microneedling with SkinPen has been shown to clinically improve the appearance of acne scars. Every treatment utilizes a single-use sterile needle cartridge that was created with safety in mind. How’s it Work?

SkinPen works by creating micro-injuries in the skin to stimulate your own body’s natural wound-healing process and at the same time minimizes the cellular damage. This in turn causes remodeling of scar tissue, stimulates your body’s collagen and elastin growth, and keeps the overall structure of the skin intact.

How’s it Feel? What’s the Downtime?

After being numbed with a topical anesthetic, most patients say the treatment is very tolerable.

Downtime is minimal with most patients are able to return to work the next day. Redness is typical, which will normally subside within a few hours after treatment. This is similar to a mild sunburn. Some dryness, rough skin and mild peeling may also occur.
